Description

The program grants graduating students a Bachelor's degree. Through a semester system  which consists of (8) semesters, and requires the student to complete (141) units of study, including units of special requirements for the university and others for the faculty, in addition to the requirements of the Department of Physics, compulsory materials and optional courses that can be studied instead of the graduation project in case the student wishes not to study the project. Then, the student is awarded a bachelor's degree in science and education (physics).

During this program, the student studies 16 weeks per semester, in addition to teaching practice, during which students are directed to schools where students are trained to practice the teaching process and work directly with school students.

Outcomes

The student will have Knowledge of physical concepts and facts, Know how to prove the validity of mathematical formulas, can explain certain physical phenomena, able to reformulate information in his/her own language, can explain lessons and analyze problems, have thinking skill and logical reasoning in the study of physical phenomena, Identify and solve problems in the field of specialization. He/she will also have the Ability to carry out practical experiments, the ability to deal with laboratory devices and equipment, the ability of drawing and analyzing graphical relationships, conducting scientific research in the field of physics, using modern technical equipment, gaining the skill of using the information in network in research and finally, it is the most important output in building a successful teacher that serves the educational process and raises it and benefits society.

To join the program, the student must have a high school certificate, scientific section.

An acceptance exam and a personal interview are conducted for those wishing to join the department.

Study Plan

The Bachelor in Physics prepares students to qualify for Bachelor in Physics. The student studies several subjects which have been carefully chosen in this major to cover its different aspects.

It comprises 8 Semesters of study, in which the student will study a total of 141 units, which include 20 units of general subjects, and 78 major units, 4 of elective units. In addition to a final project in the student's major.
